If you’re on a budget for food at your event, a buffet is sometimes a way to cut costs. Since buffets aren’t always impressive to the eye, here are some tips on how to jazz them up no matter what budget you are working with!

1} Incorporate Themed Decor

Heading over to your favorite craft store can inspire some creativity to spice up that boring buffet – keep in mind, it’s all about the details! We’ve seen many additions to buffets that make an impression on guests. Some examples:

Picture Frames

Adding pictures of the couple if you’re planning a wedding, or nice picture frames for food signage at a corporate event can add that extra detail that guests will love.

Unique Trays

Find fun or fancy trays for your stationed appetizers or buffet items. Most caterers will accommodate using your trays (if they’re food safe), so bringing in nicer trays & platters can elevate the look of your buffet.

Incorporate Different Heights

To create an even more dramatic look, add height by placing platters on top of boxes or crates.

2} Add Floral

Talk to your florist about bringing extra centerpieces or complimenting floral pieces to design your buffet. This will tie in your overall look while hardly adding on any more work for you. Remember to talk to your caterer beforehand so they can plan ahead for this while setting up your buffet.

3} Bring In the Light

Incorporating tea lights (real or electric depending on your venue) or lanterns is a budget friendly & simple set-up option to give the tables an updated look.
