Mintahoe Catering & Events is proud to be a family-owned and operated company with deep roots in the Twin Cities. Since the very beginning, our mission has been to create unforgettable experiences through exceptional food, service, and hospitality.
What started as two separate catering companies in the late 1980s—Mintahoe, founded by Kelvin and Annette Lee, and Twin City Catering, founded by Jim McMerty—came together in 2008 to form one united brand. Today, Jim’s children, Suzi McMerty Shands and Shawn McMerty, proudly serve as Co-Presidents, ensuring that Mintahoe’s values of integrity, hospitality, and family leadership continue to thrive.
Over the years, Mintahoe has grown in exciting new directions. From restoring the historic Nicollet Island Pavilion to launching Authentic Gourmet BakeShop, and from expanding into private aviation with Atikis Minnesota Flight Catering to serving thousands of clients across the region, our family-led team embraces innovation while staying true to our roots.
