Crumb Grabbings

Some years ago, we generated a newsletter – Crumb Grabbings – that we shared with people who were important to us, those who were helping us make our company what it has become. This is the First Edition of the revived “Crumb Grabbings”. The chances of this ever becoming a collector’s item are less than slim but we hope to share insights as to what Mintahoe is about and our hopes for the future. I will shift the focus to our superb employees and our many events in future editions.

2016: A Big Year For Mintahoe

In January of 2015, we moved into our Corporate Headquarters to 2850 Anthony Lane South, Minneapolis 55148. This was a big deal for us. Since then, we have completed the final touches, all 25,000 square feet of commissary and 12,000 square feet of offices, then added our private tasting room and finished what was needed to settle in. All is well and getting better. Come and see what we have done!

Mintahoe has many skills and much to offer. We are the largest pure catering company in Minnesota. During our busiest weeks, we employ more than 200 people and we have at least 100 on our payroll at all times. Mintahoe consists of three divisions: Full Service Catering, an Outdoor Events division (Picnics Plus!) and a Corporate Drop-off Catering division (Professional Foodservice).

Our Mintahoe Full Service offerings continue to grow as we increase our exclusive catering contracts and are added to Preferred Catering lists at many venues.

Minnesota Wine Country at the Fair – twelve days of wine and food at the Minnesota State Fair.

And our newest addition: Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center where we have an exclusive beverage contract.

Whatever the needs and wishes of our clients, Mintahoe has the best solution.

Endless Catering Capabilities

On a busy weekend, we may cater twenty weddings in addition to half a dozen picnics along with drop-off deliveries. There are some hectic times but we get done what needs to be done. Our Executive Management Team consists of six managers and five of the six average twenty years with Mintahoe. The core of our culinary team has worked with Mintahoe for more than a dozen years. We have excellent employees and they stay with us.

Picnics Plus! offers more than just picnics, providing on site grilling and extensive menus for outdoor events of every type and size. Our largest event this year was for 13,000 guests although our busiest was for an event that had 5,000 guests as the menu, snacks and décor were more extensive; we had 150 staff working at that event.

Professional Foodservice is one of the largest corporate drop-off catering companies in the region, serving the entire Twin Cities area. We may deal with an order as small as ten box lunches and there have been similar orders for more than ten thousand meals.
